In the human brain area found an intuitive altruism

That the level of 'intuitive honesty "of the human part is predetermined by genes. The question of biological origins of altruism has a long history. Previously, we were told about the experiments conducted on insects , rats and chimpanzees.

The first to not only link the desire to help others with a certain part of the brain, but also to prove the unconscious nature of altruism. Experience took place as follows. First, scientists with the psychological testing of volunteers divided into two groups - 25 "socially oriented" altruists, called for the equitable distribution of any benefits to the detriment of themselves, and 14 "mavericks" who want to maximize their personal benefit.

Then, while members of both groups performed the job to play money section with an imaginary partner, researchers using magnetic resonance imaging was observed, which brain regions are active in decision-making subjects.

The "socially oriented" people who chose to divide the money equally often than the "individualists", responsible for conscious behavior frontal lobes of the cerebral cortex is almost not activated.

But scientists have documented a significant difference in the work of a deeper, subcortical brain - called the amygdala ( amygdala ). According to current views, this area is responsible for the intuitive-emotional sphere. The conclusion drawn by researchers: just committed acts impulsively and unconsciously, and not due to willful repression of selfish impulses.
